Birthday Haul!

Now that my birth-month is OFFICIALLY over, I can post all the stuff that I’ve hauled throughout the month without feeling too guilty about spending more than my self-given budget.

*American Apparel Nail Polishes in Malibu Green, Passport Blue, Angeline / Sephora by OPI in Rumba Romance

Although I’ve been saying how much I’m loving Fall colors, I couldn’t resist picking these shades up from American Apparel. You get 3 for $15, and as you can tell, they’re pretty decently sized. They are EXTREMELY opaque, can be a little streaky, so I use about 2-3 coats. you can get away with 2, but I prefer 3. I haven’t used Angeline (pink) yet, but I have used Malibu Green and Passport Blue, and can say they are must haves for ANY nail polish collection!

I picked up Sephora by OPI’s Rumba Romance during their Friends & Family sale, which was ALREADY on sale for $5! It’s a great gold especially for the holidays. I think it would look great with greens and reds. I’m so excited to wear it this holiday season.

*Clarisonic MIA(TM) with Lancome Creme Radiance Facewash $119.00

I picked this up during the Friends & Family sale as well, and couldn’t let 20% off just pass me by, and I’m glad that I did. I mentioned more in detail why I love this product so much in my previous post : October’s Beauty Obsessions. You can get it at Sephora retailing for about $120, or on Amazon.com (HERE) for $104 with $1.00 to no shipping fees! I received the Lancome face wash because my local Sephora hadn’t gotten the set in yet with full sized wash and lotion. The manager and beauty expert were nice enough to give me this face wash for free along with a bunch of samples.

*MUFE HD Foundation in #123 $40.00

So I finally gave into the hype of Makeup Forever’s HD foundation. I couldn’t get myself to pay the full $40, so I also picked this up during F&F. I haven’t had the opportunity to use it too much. I used it on Saturday, but since I was in such a rush, I don’t feel that I had enough time to properly play around with it and blend it in. I did however, get complimented on my makeup. I will try it again to see if I like it for sure. As of now, I’m iffy, and don’t see a big difference between this and some of my less expensive foundations.

*Oversized Sheer Top – H&M $29.90

I saw this top about a month ago and decided not to get it. I went home and couldn’t stop thinking about it so I ended up purchasing it the next time I went in. There’s nothing special about this top, but I feel that it is just so me. I love that it is so simple, has clean lines, and the black and cream contrast. I also love the fact that even though it’s long and loose fitting, it is a bit sheer that makes it understated yet sexy. I paired this with my favorite faux leather leggings, and suede studded pumps this weekend for a night out on the town. I also think that it would look great with black leggings and over the knee boots. Throw on a black bomber jacket with a slicked back do, smokey eye, and nude lip, and you are ready for a night out with your man or your girls!

*Navy Blue Blazer w/ Striped Lining H&M $39.95

I told you guys I was blazer obsessed. Just another one to add to my collection. I don’t have a navy blazer, and thought that this was a great alternative to the classic black but not taking it too far (even though I do have one in pink and one in red). I wore this with a plain white tee, ripped boyfriend jeans, and a spiked necklace from Forever 21. You can also dress up this blazer with a fitted white button down, kakhis/skinny jeans, and over the knee boots or loafers. Love the detailing on the elbows, and the striped lining to add a little umph to a plain blazer.

*Metallic Striped Top – Forever 21 $13.80

I picked up this top for my casual days. I wore this top to my best friend’s birthday dinner with the family and paired it with dark denim jeans, a black bomber jacket, and black combat boots. I also think it would look cute with plain black leggings as well. I like this top because it’s not your typical plain white or black tee. It has stripes of glitter to add a little pizazz.

*Sequin Spotted Top – Forever 21 $15.80

I’m a sucker for anything animal, and immediately thought of leopard print when I saw this online. I liked the fact that instead of your traditional brown, cream, and black, it was silver with sequins (I also can’t say no to shimmer). Another top great to wear out to dinner with your girls, or the movies. Even dress it up with a blazer and wear it to a dainty little lounge with black skinnies and heels.

2LipsToo Combat Boots- DSW Shoe Warehouse $44.95

I picked up a pair of combat boots last year and ended up returning them because I wasn’t quite sure what I would pair them with. Now they are back in style, and I ended up ordering them again. There are so many great styles and colors, and a pair for every price range. These reminded me a lot of a pair of Steve Madden boots I saw which were about $100+. I’m not really that big on real leather vs faux leather especially with shoes that I feel look the same. I used my coupon codes and birthday certificate which gave me $15 off and free shipping. I also used Ebates which gave me 4% cash back on my order.

Sign up for Ebates here! It’s absolutely free, and you automatically get $5 cash back on your first qualifying order of $25 or more along with % cash back. There are THOUSANDS of participating stores, and trust me, you can not go wrong with the holiday season coming up. I will be doing a more detailed post on Ebates soon.

What have you guys been hauling in lately?

Glad you liked it! Happy BIRTH-MONTH! & splurge, splurge, splurge! What better excuse than a birthday? Nail polishes are so much fun, and I’d definitely check out American Apparel if you’re into fun colors. I’m sure you will love them!
