What the HECK is Ebates?

I’m sure all of you are wondering why in god’s name I’ve been linking Ebates in all of my posts, and pushing it so much. I signed up a few months ago, and completely forgot about it until recently. I share it so often, because who could possibly say no to getting cash BACK for simply shopping online? There are thousands of stores that are listed on there including Sephora.com, Macys.com, JCPenny.com, and many other stores/sites we find ourselves shopping at all the time. And what better time than now? With holiday season approaching, it’s a great way to save!

What else is great about Ebates, is that they will email you when sites are having sales, have a section dedicated to coupon codes, and alert you when stores are increasing %cash back. They’re always having some sort of sale or the other for anniversaries, birthdays, etc, so stores that we all love like Sephora, and DSW can sometimes go up to 8-12% cash back (usually for a limited time).

I, like many of you first questioned if this site was really legit, or another scam to get my information and bombard me with spam. The great thing is, you don’t need to put in any personal information, except your address of course, but that is if you choose to receive payment by check. You can always opt to receive payment through PayPal. Payment is usually sent out every 3 months, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see it right away. It will show up in your account as “cash pending.”

*How it works - Once you sign up – here, you will be taken the screen pictured below.

Here is a screen shot of what Ebates looks like once you sign up:

As you can see, there’s a list of stores on the left divided by types, and the option to type to search. There is a tab for coupons, products, “My Ebates,” which is basically your account summary – cash paid, cash pending, and some of your favorite stores.

There is also a section for deals of the week, and featured stores and coupons. Instead of having to search high and low all over Google, you can find a lot of the coupons right here – if Ebates hasn’t emailed them to you already!

Once you find your desired store, make sure you click on it to ensure that your purchases are tracked and you will receive cash back. Your screen should look like this:

Once you see this screen you will be directed to your chosen site, and that’s all that you need to do! Ebates will track your purchase total and reward you with your % cash back once your purchase has been processed by the seller.

I really just wanted to share this with you because I know we’re all looking for great online deals and steals. Also, before we know it, Christmas and other holidays will be right around the corner. Can’t forget about Cyber Monday! Imagine getting stuff on SALE & CASH BACK? So sign up if you haven’t already by clicking HERE .

Happy Shopping!
