I’M ENGAGED!
So I know I’ve been lagging and slacking for a LONG time now with posts and such, and this is because I was busy planning my engagement party! In our culture, being Indian, things work a little backwards.
Breakdown!:
So, in January, our parents met and decided to have the unofficial ceremony in April. This consisted of closest family and friends meeting at the temple for a quick prayer, and the house for exchange of a few gifts.
At this time, both families decided to have an official party and exchange of rings in August. They decided on Labor Day Weekend!
Me, being raised in America always wanted a traditional romantic proposal, which I thought I’d never get, but little did I know, my darling fiancé would make it happen! He proposed on our 16 Month anniversary in May! It wasn’t a crazy proposal, but it was perfect for me. Not to mention my DREAM ring!
Well enough of the small talk, here are some pictures!
April Ceremony:

Outfit - I worked with Nauman Piyariji to design my perfect/dream engagement outfit. I chose the silouhette and colors, he drew up patterns, and turned it into a reality!
Nails- I was really against the idea of doing a traditional french, so I opted with clear gel, and ombré glitter
Jewelry- India
Shoes - Jimmy Choo

I just wanted to do a quick post and share with you what’s been going on in my life the past few months. The next few will be filled with wedding planning! Only 9 months to go.
I also wanted to say a big thank you to our parents for giving us the most amazing party, my fiancé for putting up with me, both of our families and friends for all of their help in planning, and making the day as special as it was. Isha and Sunny from AISM Photography, Vishal from Pavé Jewelers for his patience, and time – making both of our dream rings a reality, and Nauman for being patient with ME in the dress designing process. None of this would have been possible without any of you.
Don’t worry, I have more posts in store!
